Exactly 5 Years Ago, December 27, 2010, a Monday, ...

... the last owner of the Steinway Mansion, Mr. Michael Halberian, died from a heart attack in the infamous ...

... blizzard of December 26-27, 2010 when the responding ambulance could not drive up through the snow of the unplowed 41st Street bordering the Mansion:

May you rest in peace, Mr. Halberian.  We, the citizenry of Queens, hope that your dreams and aspirations for the future of the Steinway site have been met for this your beloved property:

Rare Christmas Eve Full Moon at the Steinway Mansion.

Last occurrence was 38 years ago in 1977.  Next occurrence in 19 years in 2034.  Will you, Dear Reader, be around to witness it?

(Photo 1. The only "festive" occurrence - a celestial phenomenon.)

(Photo 2.  The Mansion sits forgotten and forlorn.  Its majesty a constant amidst the mediocrity of the municipal morons who permitted what you see here.)

The 2015 Solstices at the Steinway Mansion.

NYC Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer Declares War on the Catholic Church.

Van Bramer posts photograph of himself with Cardinal Timothy Dolan of the Archdiocese of New York on Van Bramer's "Team JVB Year End Video" (04:46).  Did Cardinal Dolan grant Van Bramer permission to do so?  Does Cardinal Dolan know that Van Bramer stated on this video as the Cardinal was being depicted:

"It's more important than ever that we fight back and that we rise up and tell the truth about Planned Parenthood and the amazing work that goes on here."

Amazing work?  Fight back?   Rise up?

Will the Roman Catholic Church stand still for these statements?

42nd street scene of the Steinway Mansion:  a harbinger of what is to come.  Warehouse facades begin their obstruction of Queens' historical heritage site's view.
