EXCLUSIVE. Steinway Mansion Owners Buy Neighboring Properties!

The owners of the Steinway Mansion, 18-33  41st Street (Block/Lot 802/31), Salvatore Lucchese and Philip Loria, were deeded less than three weeks ago - February 28 - possession of 2 parcels of adjoining land immediately south of the Mansion on 41st Street: 18-39 (Block/Lot 802/27) and 18-41 (Block/Lot 802/29).

The two addresses belonged to the late Armin Urban who passed away last year.  The deeds to the properties were conveyed to Lucchese and Loria (aka1839 Lucc LLC and 1839 Lor LLC) 18 days ago by Urban's heirs.

BTW, note the $800,000 amount on the 18-39 deed information HERE and the $700,000 on the 18-41 deed information HERE.

[Both Loria (right) and Lucchese (center) along with architect Gerald Caliendo (left) appeared in a photograph published in the Queens Courier in December 2016 HERE.]

Question for Queens:  How will this recently acquired property be used:
1.  For a Steinway Mansion expanded parking facility?
2.  For new development of commercial and/or residential units?
3.  For park-like recreation?
4.  To lie fallow for possible sale in the future?

Current photos of the properties:

Collaged photos below show the one year hiatus in which the local Astoria politicians did NOTHING to preserve this historic structure from its obscene shameful destruction.  (Click on each photo for enlarged detailed views.)  A roll-call of infamy and iniquity:

- NYC Councilman COSTA CONSTANTINIDES - MIA (Missing in Action)
- NYS Assemblywoman ARAVELLA SIMOTAS - MIA (Missing in Action)
- NYS Senator MICHAEL GIANARIS - MIA (Missing in Action)
- Congresswoman CAROLYN MALONEY - MIA (Missing in Action)
- Queens Community BOARD ONE - MIA (Missing in Action)

PHOTO 3.   What could have been easily restored but instead
is now being destroyed.

PHOTO 4.  Clear view to the heavens with the
tower now gone.

PHOTO 5.  19th century carpentry workmanship.   Exquisite intricate
house framing of joists, beams, and studs.

PHOTO 6.  Will this beautifully designed and executed staircase
escape the destruction of the chainsaw?

PHOTO 7.  So easy to destroy but not so easy to design..
