Off-Duty Cops Get To Park On Sidewalk Next To Bicycle Lane.


Who:  The Columbia Association of the NYPD.
Where:  In Elmhurst on the Queens Boulevard south service road between the new Georgia Diner and Grand Avenue.
When:  Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019.
What:  Columbia Association police membership needs convenient and difficult to find on-street parking.
Why:  It seems that this membership has parking privileges that the rest of the citizenry does not.  

If the Queens Boulevard bike lanes are kept clear, as seen in these photos, why can't all drivers then park on the sidewalk like these off-duty cops?




Photo 1.   Regular street parking cannot be found, so we
 drive up onto the sidewalk.  Nice.

Photo 2.  As far as the eye can see, along the service road:
 dozens of bumper-to-bumper private cop-owned cars
 parked to the right of the bike lane up on the sidewalk.
  The Grand Avenue cross street is just below photo at the
 bottom.  The Georgia Diner is situated way off in the
 distance in the upper left behind the stopped bus.

Photo 4.  The Italian Charities of America building at
the corner of Queens Boulevard and Van Loon Street at
the right - the site of the monthly NYPD Columbia Association
meeting.


Photo 5.  Illegally parked vehicles "respect" the bike lane by
not intruding on it although the drivers' sides of these vehicles
are on the sidewalk.   Why can't non- police owned vehicles 
do the same in light of the recent loss of parking spaces
caused by bicycle lane construction?


Photo 6.  All that's needed is an official placard?


Photo 7.  A police officer's privately-owned vehicle exits the
illegal parking area into rush hour congested single-lane
traffic.

We asked 14 months ago - HERE - what was to become of the parcel of land immediately adjacent south of the Steinway Mansion.

begun on the summit and approaches of the extremely
 dangerous and narrow 41st street immediately
 adjacent west of the Steinway Mansion.

the excavation soil removal.

Just Who Represents The Queens 14th CD?


Who?  Officially Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

So why is her Chief-of-Staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, mouthing off for her?  Referring to moderate members of Democratic groups in a Tweet last month as "New Southern Democrats" who are "hell bent to do black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did in the 40s."   He sure p.o.'d Pelosi and many of the old school Dems, no?

Who elected this guy Chakrabarti? Seemingly the puppet-master of Ocasio?   AOC's string-puller?  And he doesn't even live in Queens but is a carpetbagger from Greenwich Village in Manhattan!!!

Keep your eye on this cat.

American Flag Missing From Gay Pride Parade (June 2, 2019)


From the American Declaration of Independence:  "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

It seems to me that being gay can be construed as pursuing one's "Happiness", no?   It's therefore quite American.  So why wasn't even one American flag in evidence celebrating this fact this past Sunday (6/2) at the Pride parade in Jackson Heights?

Parade founder and current NYC Councilman Danny Dromm:  this glaring omission is a public relations failure.  Check out the following photos:  the gay rainbow flag and now even the pink, blue, and white-striped transgender flag were seen all over the place.   Even an Irish and Puerto Rican flag were seen prominently visible.   And the Columbian flag is also frequently seen on the transgender saloon floats.

So why was the Stars and Stripes missing?   Is it because of parade participants' shame or ignorance?   A supercilious attitude?  Or what?

AOC . . . MIA?

  
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,  U.S. Representative for the New York 14th Congressional District, where were you Monday, Memorial Day?  Your constituents missed your presence in the Queens part of your district at the annual Woodside Catholic War Veterans' parade -  a traditional solemn remembrance of those local members of the armed forces who gave their lives to protect our country.  

Your predecessor, Joseph Crowley, can be seen in the following photos respectfully present at last year's annual occasion.   Why haven't you followed in his footsteps by attending this event?   Also, why was it that your colleague (also here depicted), in the neighboring 6th Congressional District, Representative Grace Meng, was able to attend the Maspeth Memorial Day parade in the area she represents the day before?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez:  Where were you?  Perhaps making another promotional self-serving movie, blabbing on Twitter, rock 'n' rollin' with Riley?

EXCLUSIVE. Who's In Charge Here? (February 9, 2019)


During the 2019 Flushing Lunar New Year parade the New York City Police Department's ceremonial color guard carries 2 new additional flags:  that of communist China and free Korea.  Conspicuously absent: that of free Taiwan.   Note in the photos below, the prominent position of the communist flag next to that of the American.   Who decided this?

Flags of Communist China Infest Flushing Asian Lunar Parade (February 9, 2019)


Flags of Red China spotted at the annual Lunar Parade in Downtown Flushing along Main Street.   Parade officials have no idea who sponsored this outpouring of support for mainland China.
